Church A walk through the streets of the city of Dalmine, closely linked to the steel pipe factory
The industrial city underwent a significant reorganization in 1927, with the birth of the Municipality of Dalmine.
The creation of the new Municipality effectively established the shift of the center of gravity to the new space in front of the factories, which became the seat of the institutions that govern it.
In this area the new Church of San Giuseppe was thus built in 1931, donated to the parish and solemnly inaugurated on March 19, the day of the patron saint of workers.
The parish church is surrounded by a spacious area of relevance bounded by stump pillars.
A real churchyard, raised by about one meter with respect to the area of relevance, precedes the facade of the church.
It is accessible through a large marble staircase with a semi-hexagonal plan central to the facade, and by two minor steps on the sides of the sacred building .
In the four corners of the churchyard there are four statues, also in the gentile stock of Brembate, depicting St. Anthony of Padua, St. Dominic, St. Heart and St. Teresina of the Child Jesus.
